GRAYSWOOD CARRIAGE DRIVING CENTRE
Lowhill Farm,  Fishers Pond   SO50 7HF

If you are preparing for or would like to take your BDS tests, then come to Grayswood for a refresher lesson, with your own or our turnout. We have regular test days. The next dates are 27 Feb and 26 March, and other dates to be arranged.
With sponsorship from the Salisbury Bursary Fund, the BDS Road Driving Assessment is only £5 to BDS members. You can take it at Grayswood with an approved BDS Assessor.  Application forms and the syllabus can be downloaded from the BDS website. Its not a 'must have', but with the amount of cars on the road today its good to say you have passed a road driving test and have a certificate to prove it. We are holding a training afternoon on the 1st March to go through the syllabus with anyone wanting to know a bit more about it before actually taking it.

Roger Page and Sarah McBride are Assessors for the new DEFRA Welfare in Animal Transport Order WATO — the new deadline has now been moved to April. See the main BDS website and DEFRA for the syllabus and forms. But if you do anything for gain or a lot of miles transporting your horses, you will need this WATO certificate, and its much easier to show an official (and there will be a lot of them entitled to stop you) your certificate of competence than trying to prove you have only just left home. Its just common sense and sure you do it all without thinking about it. We can come to you, but will need 5 or more taking it, and a safe environment, an open field won't do, or come to us when the next test day is organized.

For more information on any of the above Phone Roger and Sue Page on 01962 777863 or Sarah McBride on 02380 651953    (OCT 08)
